Each treatment is approximately 15 minutes. The most common question is about how many treatments are normal and how many areas can be treated in one session. It is normal for patients to have 2-3 treatments, or as many as 5 or 6 depending upon the severity of the veins. Our staff will treat as many veins as they can in one session. So, the total number of areas that can be treated per treatment will vary depending upon the severity of your veins. The maximum number of GROUPONS that can be redeemed by one person is 2 GROUPONS. You may buy additional as gifts.Q: I purchased one GROUPON and would like to purchase more. Can I, and how do I do that?Yes, you can purchase up to 2 GROUPONS for yourself and as long as the GROUPONS are still available, you can purchase up to 2 GROUPONS, and others as gifts. We recommend that you do this as soon as possible.Q: I've purchased my GROUPONS, now how do I schedule?1 - Please read this entire webpage thoroughly.2 - Please email any questions along with your availability to groupon_statusbodystudio.com3 - We will contact you in order of receipt of your email either by phone or email.Q: The GROUPON expires in one year, so shouldn't I schedule right away? The GROUPON expiration date is 6 months after purchase, so that you do not have to schedule right away. We are contacting everyone in order of receipt of their email. Q: What are your hours? For spider vein treatments, we see patients up until 7pm weekdays. Keep in mind that evening appointments book very quickly. If you can only see us in the evening appointment slot or during a certain timeframe, you may have to wait several weeks or months for your appointment. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule, but the more flexible you can be, the sooner we can schedule your first appointment. Q: How do you determine which veins to treat? We can treat whatever veins bother you the most first. If you have large veins, then we recommend treating them first; these are called feeder or reticular veins.Q: Is a consult required? Do you have a consult then return for treatment, or can I have the consult and treatment immediately afterwards? How long does a consult take, and a treatment? Photos will be done before or during your first treatment. Should you wish to schedule your consult first and then return at a later date for your first treatment, please let us know. Each treatment is approximately 15 minutes.Q: Is there anyone who cannot receive LSVRYes. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you cannot have treatment, and can delay your treatment until after your pregnancy or breastfeeding time. Please email our office and we will make a notation in your account to extend your expiration date.Q: Will your treatment(s) completely eliminate my spider veins?Spider veins are chronic and recurrent conditions. The variety of treatments available will not offer a cure, but rather a control of the condition. However, your tendency towards developing new veins in the same area will not be relieved by this or any other form of treatment. Our goal is to achieve the best visual result in the safest manner. The main goal is to dramatically improve your quality of life and the look of your legs or face. Q: What are varicose veins, and how are they different from spider veins?Varicose veins are veins on your skin surface that are raised and that you can usually feel. They are usually twisty and can occur anywhere on your leg and can even extend into your groin region. Spider veins are smaller, fine clusters of veins on your skin that are not raised. These can be blue or red in appearance and can also be found on other areas of your body, such as on your face. Insurance companies do not provide coverage for spider vein treatment. Q: Why do varicose and spider veins occur? Is there a genetic component?Regardless of the size or if they are raised or non-raised, both varicose veins and spider veins are signs that your veins are not working normally. The job of veins is to carry blood out of your legs back to your heart. When veins inside of your leg, that you cant see, aren't working so well, the blood starts to collect or pool in your legs. This extra blood feeds the outside veins which become distended with too much pressure. These are varicose and spider veins. Yes, there is a genetic / hereditary component to varicose and spider veins. For spider veins, this means that even if all of your veins are gone after one session, you will probably get more veins that will need treatment in the future - but the treated veins can be gone for an unknown length of time.Q: Is LSVR painful?LSVR does provide a quick snap like a rubber band, but it is very quick, and the pain goes away immediately.Q: What type of laser is used for the LSVR?We are pleased to have a long pulse ND:YAG 1064nm laser.Q: I've purchased 2 Groupons so that I can have 2 spider vein treatments, Should I need more, how much will those treatments cost?Should you wish to have additional treatments done after your GROUPON treatments have been completed, a promotional Groupon price of $250 or $350 dependeing on the size of the area per treatment is in effect. If you have bruising, sometimes bruising can last for 1-2 weeks, or possibly longer.Q: How come I have to refrain from strenuous exercise (jogging, high-impact aerobics, swimming) for 3 days after the procedure? You do not want to get your heart rate up too high; you want your veins to stay closed.Q: I have just a few veins underneath and just around my eyes that I'd like to have taken care of.
